About this fish
Yellow Angel is a marine angelfish for the home saltwater aquarium (Centropyge heraldi). In the aquarium hobby, angelfish like this are valued for their vivid, bold patterning and active grazing behavior, making them a popular centerpiece fish for appropriately sized setups. They also benefit practical aquascaping because they’ll use live rock to graze throughout the day. Because many angelfish will pick at certain sessile invertebrates, the Yellow Angel is best planned with tank compatibility in mind before adding to a reef.
Features:
- Bright, highly patterned angelfish that can look especially striking in a well-established display
- Active swimmer that benefits from live rock to graze on and explore
- Often best kept as a single dwarf angelfish in the tank to reduce aggression
- Appreciates a varied diet, typically including quality frozen foods and sponge-based formulas
- May nip at corals and clam mantles, so reef-safe planning is important
- Arrives ready for a slow acclimation and a calm settling period
