Ultima II 60,000 Filter 3" Side Mount Inlet/Outlet is a biomechanical filtration unit designed to support aquatic life by helping remove ammonia and accumulated debris from pond or aquarium water. It uses beneficial biological filtration on a patented, ridged media bed to support bacterial growth; these bacteria convert ammonia into harmless compounds, while the media also helps trap solids so waste can be cleared during routine backwashing.
