Matala EZ Clear UV (2" Union) is an aquarium UV sterilizer designed to help control free-floating microorganisms in aquarium water using UV-C light. It uses a Philips T5 UV lamp and is intended to be installed inline with your filtration system, making it a practical way to add UV treatment without disrupting your main flow path. This model is built with serviceable components (including the quartz sleeve and lamp) and a transparent cover so you can visually confirm UV light operation.

Features:

• Two connector options for different plumbing setups (swivel barb for tubing/hose, or 2" union for PVC glue fitting)
• Swivel barb option supports kink-free hose or vinyl tubing and connects common hose sizes (3/4", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2")
• 2" union option is intended for Sch 40 PVC pipe using PVC glue
• Electronic ballast helps run the UV lamp reliably
