Life Rock Dry Live Rock 40 Lbs. – CaribSea is an aquaculture/reef rock made from an aragonitic base, designed for marine aquariums where you want a natural-looking rock foundation and beneficial biological surface area. It’s a dry form of rock that’s infused with spored bacteria to support biological performance, making it a practical option when you want to build rockwork and jump-start beneficial bacteria on day one. The porous rock structure provides many micro and macro passageways that can support natural nitrifying bacteria over time. Once placed, the rock’s artificial texture/coating is designed to mimic natural coralline algae appearance after it’s been in the ocean for years, and it may be picked by some aquarium animals without harm, with live coralline algae able to cover spots where the coating is removed.
