Hikari Bacto-Surge Mini Foam Filter

Product details

Hikari Bacto-Surge Mini Foam Filter (96038) is an air-driven sponge filter designed to provide both mechanical and biological filtration in aquarium systems. The highly porous sponge offers extensive surface area for aerobic bacteria, allowing the sponge to act as a powerful biological action filter. This mini size is intended for smaller setups where efficient filtration and easy maintenance are priorities.

Features:

• Air-driven sponge filtration for mechanical and biological water polishing
• Extremely porous sponge structure provides thousands of microscopic pores for aerobic bacteria colonization
• High surface area supports strong biological filtration activity
• Soft polyether foam material is designed to be easy to clean and maintain
• Uplift tube and air diffuser work together for strong lift with reduced risk of clogging
• Suitable for freshwater or marine applications as a sponge filter
• Can also be used as a polishing filter with canister filters, or as a hang-on style filter / uplift tube application (as appropriate for your setup)
