MarinePure BioFilter Media Plate 8x8x1″

Product details

MarinePure BioFilter Media Plate 8x8x1" (900401) is a biological filter media plate designed to support beneficial bacteria for aquarium water quality. It uses a porous structure that encourages the formation of a thin bio-film on and within the media, helping convert harmful nitrogen compounds as water passes through. In practice, you can place the media in filtration systems such as tanks, sumps, canister filters, DIY filter setups, trickle or shower filters, waterfall filters, or hang-on-back (HOB) filters to add biological filtration capacity to your setup.

Features:

• Porous, open, interconnected hole structure supports the development of a thin bio-film for beneficial bacteria
• Water flows through the media, helping bio-film recycle and replenish without clogging the filter media
• Designed for biological filtration to help remove ammonia and nitrites from aquarium water
• Helps reduce nitrate levels by supporting ongoing bio-filtration activity
• Versatile plate format can be used in multiple filter types including sumps, canisters, trickle/shower, waterfall, and HOB systems
• Provides surface area intended for beneficial bacteria to thrive and multiply for a cleaner ecosystem
