Xinyou XY-2837 Bio Sponge Filter (Cylinder)

Product details

Xinyou XY-2837 Bio Sponge Filter (Cylinder) is an airlift sponge filter designed to provide biological filtration while also helping oxygenate aquarium water. It uses a cylindrical foam cartridge that supports beneficial bacteria, allowing the filter to remove waste through a mix of mechanical trapping and biological breakdown of nitrogenous compounds. Practically, it’s a useful option for routine water-quality support, especially when used as filtration that runs continuously in the tank.

Features:

• Airlift operation helps oxygenate the water while the filter runs
• Cylindrical foam provides mechanical filtration plus a surface for beneficial bacteria colonization for biological filtration
• “No dead spots” foam design aims to increase contact through the cylinder for more effective filtration
• Designed for quieter running, including noise reduction from the air pump
• Works as pre-filtration and is often suited for placement with external or top filter setups
• Foam cartridge/nodular design is intended to make maintenance easier
• Supports flexible installation options
