XINYOU XY-2822 Air Pump Double Sponge Filter

Product details

XINYOU XY-2822 Air Pump Double Sponge Filter is a sponge filtration unit designed for aquariums. Sponge filters are commonly used to provide both mechanical filtration (trapping fine debris) and biological filtration, offering a large surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize. The “double sponge” design gives you two sponge blocks in the same filter for expanded filtration capacity. In practice, this style of filter is also often chosen for community tanks and for breeding setups where you want stable biological filtration without an intake that would easily trap very small fish.

Features:

• Helps with mechanical and biological filtration in the aquarium
• Large sponge surface supports bacterial colonization for biological filtration
• Double-sponge layout provides filtration media in two sections
• Designed so it does not trap fish fry, which can be useful in breeding/spawning situations
• Suitable for aquariums up to 20 gallons, based on the provided max tank size
• A good fit for discus, dwarf cichlids, guppies, and killifish breeding/spawning setups, based on the provided guidance
