Xinyou Sponge Filter (3.35 x 8.3″)

Product details

The Xinyou Sponge Filter (3.35 x 8.3") is an aquarium sponge filter designed for use with an air pump to drive water movement through a porous sponge. As water is pulled or pushed through the sponge by the uplift effect, it captures debris (mechanical filtration) while also providing a large surface area for beneficial bacteria (biological filtration). This makes it a practical, efficient filtration option for many freshwater aquariums, including setups where gentle flow is preferred.

Features:

• Sponge media provides both mechanical trapping of fine particles and biological filtration via beneficial bacteria growth
• Air-driven operation helps produce gentle circulation, which can be suitable for tanks that benefit from lower flow
• Porous surface area supports ongoing biological colonization for more stable water quality
• A sponge filter can help maintain clearer water by reducing suspended solids without requiring chemical additives
• Useful in breeding and juvenile tanks where a less forceful intake can be advantageous
• Easy-to-service design concept: sponge maintenance can be done by cleaning the sponge to remove trapped debris (without fully replacing biological material at once)

Specifications:
