Ultra Bak is a marine aquarium nutrient solution designed to support bacteria that are commonly helpful in reef systems. In practical use, Ultra Bak encourages bacterial growth so unwanted nutrients—such as nitrite, nitrate, and phosphate—can be converted into biomass. This biomass may be removed via skimming or consumed by corals and other filter feeders, contributing additional natural food sources. It can also be used as a bacterial support when you run systems with or without zeolite filtration, helping denitrifying bacteria work more effectively in breaking down nitrogen compounds.
