Single Base Kit W/ 2 x 9" Air Diffuser (MDB12) Matala is a pond aeration equipment kit designed to introduce air into still, muddy-bottom water. It uses two Matala 9" membrane disc diffusers mounted on a hollow base with a 6" tee riser pipe, keeping the air discs elevated above soft sediment so aeration can remain effective. In practical terms, you can add sand, gravel, and water into the base so the kit sinks and holds position, making it well-suited for lake- or pond-style aeration where the water bottom is not solid.
