Seachem Stability 500mL (123) is a scientifically formulated water additive designed to help establish a more reliable aquarium biofilter in both freshwater and saltwater tanks. It works by introducing beneficial bacteria that support the breakdown of common waste organics and nitrogen compounds, helping reduce the risk associated with “new tank syndrome.” In practice, it’s used when starting a new aquarium and can also be added during water changes, when introducing new fish, or when medicating to help maintain biofilter performance while conditions in the tank shift.
Features:
- Helps establish aquarium biological filtration by supporting bacteria that process potentially harmful waste organics and nitrogen compounds (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate).
- Contains a synergistic blend of aerobic, anaerobic, and facultative bacteria to support biofilter development.
- Uses non-sulfur fixing bacteria, which will not produce toxic hydrogen sulfide.
- General guidance for safer stability in new or changing tank conditions, including fresh starts and ongoing maintenance moments (water changes, new fish, or medicating).
- Dose is designed to be used consistently over time; fish and other aquatic organisms can be added once the correct dosing plan is followed for the initial period.
- Includes handling guidance such as shaking before use and turning off UV/ozone equipment during dosing.
