Seachem Pristine 4L (1243) is a natural organic waste management solution designed to help control sludge and detritus in both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. It works via bio-augmentation, adding beneficial bacteria to support the breakdown of excess organic matter such as food and waste so water quality stays cleaner and clearer over time. In practice, it’s used to jump-start or reinforce biological processing when the system is disturbed—such as after adding new livestock, cleaning the biofilter, or when the biological balance has been reset.

• Turn off any UV/ozone equipment during dosing, and allow 2–3 days before using UV sterilizers or ozone again after application

• Initial dosing (after new livestock or biofilter disruption): 1 capful (5 mL) per 40 L (10 US gallons)
• Maintenance dosing: 1 capful (5 mL) per 80 L (20 US gallons)
• UV/Ozone during dosing: Turn off any UV/ozone equipment before adding Pristine
• After antibiotics: Remove with fresh carbon and a water change before adding bacteria
