Seachem MetroPlex 5g (801) is a veterinary-style aquarium medication designed to treat certain protozoan parasites and anaerobic bacterial diseases in fish. It’s commonly used in cases such as Cryptocaryon, Hexamita, and Ichthyophthirius, and it can be administered either by dosing directly into the water or by mixing with medicated food for targeted delivery. Because it can be prepared for use in a medicated food mix, it’s also practical when you want to treat internal issues in tanks that include invertebrates. MetroPlex is meant to support safe treatment without harming the bio-filter, and it can be removed later with carbon.
Features:
- Treats several protozoan and anaerobic bacterial diseases affecting fish
- Works with both water-dosing and medicated-food delivery methods
- Little danger of overdosing when used as directed
- Does not adversely affect the filter bed, and can be removed with carbon
- Suitable for medicated food mixes for internal parasites
- Can be an option for treating parasites in tanks that contain invertebrates
