Seachem Matrix 2L (118) is a high-porosity biomedia designed for aquarium biofiltration. It provides extensive surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize, helping your filter process nitrogenous waste such as ammonia and nitrite. Because it includes internal macroporous spaces suited to multiple bacterial zones, Matrix™ is also intended to support denitrification within the same media, aiding in nitrate control as part of normal filtration.
