Seachem Flourish Excel 250mL (456) is a liquid source of bioavailable organic carbon for planted aquariums. Plants need carbon to build the compounds used in photosynthesis, and while carbon is often supplied by CO2 gas injection, Flourish Excel provides an alternative carbon pathway by supplying organic compounds that can support plant growth. It can be used on its own or alongside CO2, which is useful when adding more CO2 risks making pH drop too low. In addition, it is formulated to include iron-reducing properties that help support iron availability for plant uptake.
