Seachem Aquavitro Eight Four 1L (7505) is a reef-aquarium water buffer designed to help stabilize marine pH by restoring a properly balanced carbonate/bicarbonate system. In saltwater, many simple buffers rely mainly on sodium bicarbonate; while they can affect pH, they have a lower buffering pK and are limited in how high they can maintain pH. eight.four™ is formulated to provide a higher pK buffering system, supporting practical pH maintenance in a reef environment while also adjusting carbonate alkalinity.

Features:

• Designed to maintain a marine pH range of about 8.3–8.5 by using a properly balanced carbonate/bicarbonate buffer system
• Higher buffering pK (8.6) helps counteract inevitable acidifying sources in the water
• Helps safely raise marine pH while adjusting alkalinity to support carbonate chemistry
• Contains a concentrated, balanced blend of bicarbonate and carbonate salts intended to restore disrupted buffer systems and increase carbonate alkalinity
