Seachem AmGuard 500mL (773) is a liquid ammonia binder designed to detoxify toxic free ammonia in an aquarium. It’s used during tank cycling and is especially helpful in emergency situations where ammonia becomes detectable and you need rapid, practical chemical relief. AmGuard is formulated to bind free ammonia so it becomes a safer, non-toxic form that can then be removed by the tank’s biological filter. It does not alter pH, and it can also help with common municipal water by removing chlorine and chloramines.
