Weco Red Ludwigia 12″ Aquarium Plant

About This Product

The Weco Red Ludwigia 12″ Aquarium Plant is a vibrant, realistic artificial aquarium decoration designed to bring the beauty of natural aquatic vegetation to freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Inspired by the colorful Red Ludwigia aquatic plant, this decorative addition features lush, red-toned foliage and a full-bodied appearance that adds color, depth, and natural beauty to any underwater environment.

Part of Weco’s Freshwater Pro Series, the Red Ludwigia features detailed artificial leaves and dense branching that replicate the appearance of live aquatic plants. Its striking reddish coloration creates an attractive contrast against green aquarium decorations, natural gravel, driftwood, and decorative rockwork.

Unlike live aquatic plants, the Weco Red Ludwigia requires no specialized lighting, fertilizers, carbon dioxide injection, or trimming. It maintains its vibrant appearance without the maintenance associated with living aquatic vegetation, making it an excellent choice for beginning aquarists and experienced fishkeepers seeking a beautiful, low-maintenance aquarium display.

The plant features a weighted base that helps keep it securely positioned in aquarium substrate. The 12-inch version also includes a built-in airstone, allowing aquarists to connect a compatible aquarium air pump and create an attractive stream of bubbles rising through the plant.

Artificial aquarium plants also provide valuable visual cover and sheltered areas where fish can explore, retreat, and feel more secure. The Red Ludwigia’s tall, full-bodied design makes it particularly suitable for background placement or creating decorative plant groupings.

Whether you’re decorating a freshwater community tank, adding colorful accents to a marine aquarium, or creating an attractive aquascape without the maintenance requirements of live plants, the Weco Red Ludwigia 12″ Aquarium Plant offers beauty, convenience, and versatility.

Rinse the Weco Red Ludwigia Aquarium Plant thoroughly with clean water before placing it in your aquarium. Do not use soap, detergents, or household cleaning chemicals.

Position the weighted base securely within the aquarium gravel or substrate, ensuring the plant remains upright and stable.

For the optional bubbling effect, connect compatible aquarium airline tubing from an external air pump to the plant’s built-in airstone connection. Adjust the airflow to produce the desired stream of bubbles.

Place the plant near the back or sides of the aquarium to create a natural-looking background while leaving open swimming space for fish.

Periodically remove the decoration and gently rinse or clean accumulated algae and debris using aquarium-safe cleaning methods.

Important Product Information:

This is an artificial aquarium plant, not a live Red Ludwigia plant. It does not require fertilizers, specialized lighting, or carbon dioxide supplementation and does not provide the biological functions of living aquatic plants.

The integrated airstone requires a separately purchased compatible air pump and airline tubing to produce bubbles.

Recommended application: A colorful, realistic artificial aquarium plant ideal for creating lush underwater landscapes, providing decorative fish shelter, and adding attractive bubble effects to freshwater and saltwater aquariums.
