Magnesium 5 Gallon – ESV B-Ionic is a one-component liquid magnesium supplement for closed marine aquaria. Magnesium helps influence the saturation point for calcium carbonate through “ion-pairing,” which can make it easier to maintain calcium and alkalinity when magnesium levels drift away from natural seawater levels (~1350 ppm). It also supports pH stability by interacting with seawater’s buffer system. Used alongside B-Ionic Calcium Buffer or kalkwasser, it is formulated to avoid disrupting ionic balance in reef systems.
