K1 Media – 1.76 cu ft (50L) Evolution Aqua is a biological filter media designed to support beneficial bacteria that perform nitrification. In an aquarium filtration system, these bacteria convert harmful ammonia and nitrite into less harmful nitrogen compounds, helping mature and maintain stable water quality. Because it provides a large amount of active surface area, K1 Media is intended to give nitrifying bacteria more space to colonise and establish an effective biofilm inside the filter.
