Hikari Algae Wafers 2.89oz

Product details

Hikari Algae Wafers 2.89oz (21316) are algae-based disc food wafers made for herbivorous, bottom-feeding fish—especially plecostomus and other algae eaters. The raised disc format is designed to encourage natural grazing behavior, making it a practical staple for tanks where you want to provide a consistent vegetable-focused diet rather than relying on live algae alone.

Features:

• Developed for hard-to-feed algae eaters such as plecostomus and similar bottom feeders
• High levels of vegetable matter that algae-eating fish are known to feed on
• Stabilized vitamin C is included to support immune system health
• Unique raised disc shape helps duplicate plecos natural feeding action
• Disc-style feeding format supports feeding at the bottom of the aquarium
• Texture is designed to resist dissolving readily, helping it stay available during feeding
• Suitable for both freshwater and saltwater algae eaters, including fish such as tangs, foxface, and rabbitfish
