In a new tank, nitrifying bacteria take time to establish colonies that convert toxic ammonia into nitrite and then into less harmful forms. FritzZyme 7 is used to help seed and fortify a biofilter so ammonia and nitrite issues are less likely to become lethal while your biological filtration is catching up.
