Coppersafe – Fritz Aquatics is a chelated copper treatment concentrate designed to help control common aquarium external infections and parasites. It is formulated for use against conditions such as ICH, flukes (Gyrodactylus), anchor worms, and Velvet/Protozoan diseases, as well as other external parasites. In practical terms, it’s used to maintain a therapeutic copper level in the aquarium and to dose replacement water during water changes to help keep that level steady while treatment is underway.
Features:
- Chelated copper treatment targeted for ICH, flukes (Gyrodactylus), anchor worms, Velvet/Protozoan diseases, and other external parasites
- Coppersafe® solution remains active for over one month in the aquarium when used as directed
- Stable, non-staining concentrate that does not color aquarium water
- Helps maintain a therapeutic total copper level of 1.5 ppm to 2.0 ppm during use when dosed as directed
- Add Coppersafe® solution to replacement water during water changes to maintain the therapeutic level
- Partial water changes are the quickest way to remove Coppersafe® from the aquarium due to its stability in water
- Copper test kits that measure chelated copper can be used to monitor copper levels
