Battery Backup

Product details

Battery Backup is an EcoTech Marine (VorTech) battery backup designed for reef aquariums where circulation is critical during power interruptions. In an aquarium with no flow, fish and corals can begin to die in as little as 4 to 10 hours. This backup provides emergency power to help keep your Vortech pump running, protecting your tank’s inhabitants and equipment while electricity is restored.

Features:

• Built to help protect an aquarium during power outages by maintaining water movement when main power goes out
• Uses an aluminum housing for durable, aquarium-friendly installation
• Works with EcoTech Marine Vortech pump models (MP60wES, MP40wES, and smaller MP10 series, where compatible)
• Designed to deliver estimated runtime depending on pump model and operating conditions
• Runtime estimates vary based on battery life, pump mode, and other factors
