Alkaline 8.3 – Brightwell is a KH (alkalinity) increasing buffer solution for marine aquariums. It’s designed to raise alkalinity and help support more stable pH by supplying carbonates, which are a key component of aragonite—the mineral reef-building organisms use as skeletal material. In practical terms, it can be used when your aquarium’s alkalinity needs replenishing to better support ongoing carbonate needs.
