2" Suction Strainer / Screen is a plastic aquarium and pond fitting designed to sit over suction intakes so larger debris and aquatic life are less likely to get pulled into pump suction. In practical use, it helps keep water pathways open while adding an extra barrier that can reduce clogging and protect intakes during normal flow. The 2" sizing is intended to match common suction/port sizes that accept a 2-inch screen strainer.
