Seachem Safe 50g (384)
About This Product
The Seachem Safe 50g (384) is a highly concentrated, dry aquarium water conditioner designed to remove chlorine and chloramine while detoxifying ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate in freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Developed by Seachem, this powerful water treatment provides an economical and effective solution for maintaining safer aquarium water conditions during water changes, new aquarium setups, and routine maintenance.
As the dry, concentrated alternative to Seachem Prime, Safe delivers exceptional water-conditioning performance in a compact powder formula. Its concentrated formulation allows aquarists to treat large volumes of water using only small quantities, making it especially convenient for larger aquariums, multiple-tank systems, and fishkeeping operations.
Seachem Safe rapidly neutralizes chlorine and chloramine commonly found in municipal tap water, helping prevent these harmful disinfectants from affecting aquarium fish and beneficial biological filtration. It also temporarily detoxifies ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate, reducing their toxicity while the aquarium’s biological filtration system processes nitrogenous waste.
Unlike some aquarium water conditioners, Seachem Safe is non-acidic and will not alter aquarium pH when used as directed. Its reef-friendly formulation also avoids excessive protein skimmer activation, making it suitable for marine aquariums and reef systems.
Safe can be used when establishing a new aquarium, performing water changes, replacing evaporated water, or addressing temporary water-quality concerns. The included measuring scoop allows convenient dosing for the 50g container.
Whether you’re maintaining a freshwater community aquarium, a large tropical fish collection, or a saltwater reef system, Seachem Safe offers dependable, concentrated water conditioning in a convenient, long-lasting powder formula.

Important Usage Information:
Seachem Safe temporarily detoxifies ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate but does not physically remove these substances from aquarium water. Proper biological filtration, regular water testing, and routine water changes remain essential for maintaining healthy water quality.
Do not premix Safe with water for long-term storage. Unlike Seachem Prime, the dry Safe formulation does not contain the stabilizers necessary to maintain effectiveness after being stored as a liquid solution.
Recommended application: A concentrated aquarium water conditioner ideal for freshwater and saltwater aquarists seeking economical chlorine and chloramine removal, temporary ammonia and nitrite detoxification, and dependable water treatment during aquarium maintenance.
