Chemi-pure Boyd Elite Grande 46.96oz is a packaged aquarium filter media blend designed for use in freshwater or marine setups to help improve water clarity and water chemistry stability. In this product, the phosphate and silicate control comes from Granular Ferric Oxide (GFO), and the blend also includes QuickWash Carbon™. Practically, it’s meant for use in a sump, canister filter, or HOB filter to target dissolved substances like phosphates (PO4) and silicates (SiO2) and to support a cleaner, more consistent aquarium environment between maintenance intervals.
