Xinyou Sponge Filter (6.25 x 13.5″)

Product details

The Xinyou Sponge Filter (6.25 x 13.5") is a sponge-style aquarium filter designed to provide gentle, efficient filtration while helping support beneficial bacteria on the sponge surface. In practice, sponge filters are commonly used in freshwater tanks and for breeding or fry setups because they run with calmer water movement and can also serve as a biological filter. The sponge media traps suspended debris as water passes through, and its large surface area gives nitrifying microbes a place to grow. This model’s stated size makes it suitable for tanks that require a compact sponge-filter footprint and a taller, column-style filter media height for steady processing of water.

Features:

• Sponge media style supports biological filtration by providing surface area for beneficial bacteria
• Gentle filtration helps reduce strong currents that can stress sensitive fish or fry
• Helps capture fine particles as water flows through the sponge
• Often used as a dependable, low-maintenance filter option for many aquarium setups
• Suitable for setups where calmer circulation and biological support are priorities
