Titan trigger

About this fish

Titan trigger (Balistoides viridescens) is a triggerfish intended for the home saltwater aquarium. Known for a bold, intelligent personality and strong jaws, it’s best suited to experienced hobbyists who can provide a sturdy setup and plan tankmates carefully. In practice, its active feeding behavior and territorial tendencies make it a good candidate for fish-forward community plans (often fish-only or with robust, compatible tankmates) rather than mixed invertebrate aquascapes.

Features:

• Bold, intelligent fish with a big personality—expect interactive behavior around the tank
• Strong jaws suited to meaty foods, helping support natural feeding behavior
• Many triggerfish can be aggressive; choose tankmates with care to reduce stress and conflict
• Triggers may eat invertebrates, so plan your aquascape accordingly if you keep corals, shrimp, or snails
• Introduce slowly when it arrives and give it a quiet place to settle in before handling other changes
