Rainbow Mummy Eye Chalice

About this coral

Rainbow Mummy Eye Chalice is a chalice-form LPS coral sold for its distinctive “eye” pattern and attractive coloration on the skeleton. In a reef aquarium, this coral is mainly appreciated for its bold, textured appearance and for how LPS corals can add depth and movement to the lower-to-mid rockscape when placed where their polyps can expand comfortably.

Features:

• Chalice-style LPS coral known for prominent, eye-like features and a visually striking look
• Typically relies on photosynthesis while also benefiting from occasional supplemental feeding
• Best used as a focal piece on a rock surface where you can position the corallite openings for good polyp extension
• Prefers gentle, stable conditions commonly associated with LPS reef corals, helping maintain healthy polyp behavior
• Adds classic LPS texture and variety to mixed reefs, especially alongside other LPS and compatible stony corals
