JBJ HB-45 Hang-On Back Aquarium Filter

Product details

JBJ HB-45 Hang-On Back Aquarium Filter is a hang-on-back (HOB) filtration unit designed to attach to the back of an aquarium and help keep the water clearer. It uses sponge filtration to reduce particulates and uses a waterfall-style discharge to promote surface agitation, which can support oxygen exchange in the tank. This makes it a practical choice for routine mechanical filtration and circulation in aquariums that can accommodate a back-mounted filter.

Features:

• Hang-on-back design mounts to the rear rim to keep filtration components contained outside the tank
• Helps reduce suspended particulates using a combination of fine and coarse sponge filtration
• Waterfall-style outflow supports surface agitation for gas exchange
• Provides steady circulating flow to help distribute water throughout the aquarium
• Useful for maintaining clearer-looking water when paired with regular sponge maintenance
• Designed for aquarium setups up to the manufacturer’s listed capacity range

Specifications:

• Rated aquarium size: Up to 40 gal
• Flow rate: 130 gph
• Filtration media type: Fine and coarse sponge filtration
• Mounting style: Hang-on-back (back of aquarium)
