About this coral
About this coral
Indo Cultured Red Goniopora is an LPS coral from the genus Goniopora, sold for aquarists who want a Goniopora “flowerpot” look with sweeping, flowing polyps. In a reef aquarium, it’s typically used as a display coral—often kept in a dedicated position where its extended tentacles can move naturally in the water flow. Group-level Goniopora care emphasizes stable water quality, appropriate lighting, and consistent husbandry rather than quick, highly variable changes.
Features:
- Often sold as a flowerpot coral form of Goniopora with prominent, flowing polyps
- General guidance for Goniopora includes stable, well-established reef conditions
- Larger, tentacled polyp extension is commonly supported by appropriate light and moderate, indirect flow
- Does best when placed so it can receive light without being blasted by direct currents
- Because Goniopora are photosynthetic alongside feeding, many keepers support them with suitable reef feeding and good tank nutrition
- Useful as a centerpiece coral where polyp movement can be easily observed
