Dragon Scale Hammer is an LPS coral commonly kept as a type of Euphyllia (hammer/torch-style) coral. In practical terms, it’s used as a focal coral for its fleshy tentacles and active feeding behavior, adding movement and texture to compatible reef aquariums.

Features:

• Typically kept with moderate lighting and a medium, indirect-to-aimed water flow to help the tentacles extend comfortably.
• Uses sweeping tentacles to capture appropriately sized meaty foods, making it a good choice for aquarists who like to feed their corals.
• Often benefits from stable conditions and a mature tank, since LPS corals generally do best when water chemistry doesn’t swing.
• Because Euphyllia-type corals can sting neighboring corals, it’s best placed with clear spacing so it can’t touch other sessile invertebrates.
