CaribSea African Cichlid Sahara Sand 20lb

Product details

CaribSea African Cichlid Sahara Sand 20lb (00222) is a bagged aquarium substrate made for use in freshwater aquariums, especially tanks set up for African cichlids. This sand is designed to help naturally buffer aquarium water using aragonite, which can make it easier to maintain stable conditions over time. It’s also intended to provide a natural-looking look that complements many “Rift Lake” style aquascapes.

Features:

• Aragonite-based sand that naturally supports buffering in the aquarium
• Helps reduce the need for constant downward pH drift correction in established tanks
• Designed to simplify the process of aiming for water parameters associated with African rift lake setups (general guidance)
• Grain size in a practical range for natural-looking substrate and cichlid-style aquascaping
• Natural colors can complement the appearance of many African cichlids in-display
