CaribSea African Cichlid Mix Original 20lb

Product details

CaribSea African Cichlid Mix Original 20lb (00220) is a dry aquarium substrate blend designed to help recreate a variety of African cichlid environments. It uses aragonite-based buffering to support stable water conditions that hobbyists often associate with African Rift Lake setups, making it useful when you want to maintain consistent parameters in established tanks. This 20 lb bag is intended for aquariums where you’re building or refreshing a rocky, natural-looking bottom for cichlid-style aquascapes and substrate-driven water stability.

Features:

• Aragonite-based buffering can help support water conditions associated with African rift lake environments
• Helps simplify maintenance in established tanks by reducing downward drift in pH
• Supports a natural substrate aesthetic that can help encourage natural coloration in fish
• Comes as a 20 lb bag for aquarium setup or substrate refresh projects
• Typical granule size is around 5.0 mm to 10.5 mm for a chunky, natural look
