ASD Golden Bowerbanki

About this coral

ASD Golden Bowerbanki is an LPS coral listed by the shop under the common name “Bowerbanki,” generally referring to Acanthastrea (Acan) corals. In practical aquarium use, it’s a colorful, colony-forming coral best appreciated for its fleshy polyps and feeding response, and it’s typically maintained as a reef aquarium centerpiece within stable, mature water conditions.

Features:

• LPS coral with fleshy polyps that benefit from regular feeding for best color and growth
• Generally prefers moderate lighting rather than intense, blasting light
• Low to moderate water flow helps keep tissues stable without causing excessive polyp retraction
• Often does well when placed so it can extend polyps outward into available flow and feeding opportunities
• Requires good water quality and consistent reef parameters to support long-term health
• A reef-appropriate choice for aquarists keeping LPS, especially tanks with established biological filtration
