Seachem Matrix 4L (119) is a high-porosity biological filter media designed to support efficient biofiltration in aquarium filtration systems. It provides a large amount of surface area for beneficial bacteria that process nitrogenous waste, helping convert ammonia and nitrite and also supporting denitrifying activity for nitrate reduction. In practical use, it’s placed inside compatible filter housings to increase biological capacity without relying on disposable media replacement cycles.
