Seachem Flourish Excel 100mL

Product details

Seachem Flourish Excel 100mL (455) is an organic carbon additive designed for planted aquariums. Plants need a carbon source to produce photosynthetic material; while many setups rely on carbon dioxide (CO2), Flourish Excel provides bioavailable organic carbon so plants can continue building carbon compounds for growth even without CO2 injection. It can also be used alongside CO2 to support plant processes when you want to avoid pushing CO2 so far that it causes dangerously low pH levels.

Features:

• Provides a source of bioavailable organic carbon for planted aquariums
• Can be used as an alternative to CO2 injection or in addition to it
• Introduces photosynthetic intermediates that support the photosynthesis process
• Works in parallel with CO2 use, since photosynthetic intermediates and carbon compounds can be produced simultaneously
• Has iron reducing properties that help promote iron in the ferrous (Fe+2) state, which plants can utilize more easily than ferric iron (Fe+3)
• May help when continuing to add CO2 could otherwise drive pH too low
