Seachem Aquavitro Shrimp Tall Hut

Product details

Seachem Aquavitro Shrimp Tall Hut (7077) is an aquarium enrichment accessory designed for small shrimp, fish, and other tank animals that benefit from extra hiding space. In typical aquariums, shrimp can be vulnerable when they molt, and females carrying eggs often look for dark, secluded areas. This tall hut provides that kind of refuge so residents can reduce stress and avoid predation during vulnerable periods. It can also serve as a natural surface in the tank where fine algae and/or biofilm can develop, which many small shrimp will graze on as a food source. Use it as a practical, long-term shelter and behavioral aid inside freshwater or saltwater aquarium systems where small inhabitants need more cover.

Features:

• Creates a refuge to help ease stress and reduce the chance of predation
• Provides shelter during molting when shrimp are most vulnerable
• Offers seclusion that can be helpful for females during the breeding cycle
• Adds available surfaces that can support fine algae and/or biofilm growth as a natural food source
• Gives small tank animals an accessible hide they can choose when they need cover
