Reef Nutrition Phyto-Feast Concentrate Marine Microalgae 16oz is a concentrated marine microalgae food designed to help provide phytoplankton-like nutrition in saltwater aquariums. It’s made as a blend of marine microalgae species (including Pavlova, Isochrysis, Thalassiosira weissflogii, Tetraselmis, Nannochloropsis, and Synechococcus) and is intended for practical feeding of filter-feeding corals and other aquarium animals that benefit from microalgae. Use it as part of your regular feeding routine to introduce phyto-pigments and nutrients into the water column, following the bottle dosing guidance for your tank size and animal density.
Features:
- Blend of multiple important marine microalgae species, including Pavlova, Isochrysis, Thalassiosira weissflogii, Tetraselmis, Nannochloropsis, and Synechococcus
- Provides diversity of phytopigments, lipids, omega-3 fatty acids, amino acids, carbohydrates, and cell sizes (as described for this product line)
- Contains whole and intact biological microalgae organisms in a media with benign, food-grade additives
- No phosphates are added
- Best results come from mixing before use because larger algae cells (like Tetraselmis) may settle
- Helps established systems transition as animals become accustomed to feeding on microalgae in the water column
