Reef Nutrition Phyto-Feast Concentrate Marine Micoalgae 6oz is a liquid concentrate of marine microalgae designed to serve as a daily food source for aquarium inhabitants. It’s formulated as a blend of multiple microalgae species to help broaden the range of naturally occurring nutrients found in phytoplankton. In practice, you add it directly to the aquarium so filter feeders and photosynthetic/food-dependent organisms can consume the suspended microalgae.
Features:
- Blend of important marine microalgae species: Pavlova, Isochrysis, Thalassiosira weissflogii, Tetraselmis, Nannochloropsis, and Synechococcus
- Contains whole and intact biological microalgae organisms in a media with benign food-grade additives
- No phosphates are added
- Made to help preserve cellular contents so nutrients are delivered effectively when dosed
- Cells may settle after storage; invert and/or shake before opening and use as directed
- If water doesn’t clear in about an hour, reduce the amount because your tank may not be digesting all microalgae yet
- Best results may include turning off the skimmer while dosing (then restarting later) and starting with a low dose before increasing
