Seachem De*Nitrate 250mL (136) is a nitrate-removing filter media designed for use in aquarium filtration. Practical use is to help reduce dissolved nitrate by providing surface area and micro-zones that support bacterial processes inside the media. In most systems, live rock contributes to nitrate reduction through anaerobic denitrification; De*Nitrate is intended to offer a similar pathway within a controlled media bed.
