Chemi-pure Boyd Blue BULK 11oz is an activated carbon + ion-exchange filtration media designed to help keep aquarium water clearer and reduce certain dissolved impurities. Used in the filter flow of marine (reef and jellyfish) tanks as well as high pH freshwater setups, it works by adsorbing and binding targeted organic compounds and other substances as water passes through the media. In practical use, it’s placed in a sump, canister, or HOB filter bag where gentle, consistent flow can carry water through the pellets.
