It’s commonly used in both freshwater and saltwater systems by placing Chemi-pure bags in a high-flow area of the filtration where water passes through the media. If your aquarium filter needs an additional chemical filtration step for water polishing and contaminant reduction, Chemi-pure Boyd 5oz is designed for that role as part of routine filter media use.
