The Aqua Excel AE-EC20 Protein Skimmer is a protein skimmer designed to help keep aquarium water cleaner by removing dissolved organic waste before it breaks down further. In practical terms, it supports a more stable, “cleaner” environment for marine systems by helping reduce the buildup of organics that contribute to odors and water clouding.
Features:
- Uses foam fractionation to pull dissolved organic compounds out of the water column
- Helps reduce dissolved waste accumulation, supporting clearer water between water changes
- Designed as a dedicated protein skimmer unit for larger aquariums
- Includes a DC-2000LV pin wheel pump to drive skimmer performance
- Compact footprint for installation while reaching tall skimming height
- Suitable for systems up to the listed tank size when properly installed and tuned for the aquarium
