Xinyou Sponge Filter (3.3 x 6.5″)

Product details

Xinyou Sponge Filter (3.3 x 6.5") is an aquarium sponge filter designed to provide gentle mechanical filtration and a surface for beneficial bacteria in freshwater or reef aquarium setups. Sponge filters are commonly used in tanks that need low, steady flow and extra biological filtration, such as breeding or nursery systems, fry tanks, and established aquariums that benefit from reliable filtration without strong currents.

Features:

• Sponge-media style filtration helps trap fine particles while also offering a large area for beneficial bacteria
• Produces gentle water movement, which can be easier for small or sensitive aquarium inhabitants
• Works with an air-driven system when paired with the appropriate air supply, making it a simple, maintenance-friendly filtration option
• Useful as primary filtration in smaller tanks or as supplementary biological filtration in larger setups
• Low-suction design helps reduce the risk of small organisms being drawn in compared with some power-filter intakes
• A compact footprint makes it easier to place in aquariums where space is limited
