About this fish
About this fish
Talbot Damsel is a hardy damselfish for the home saltwater aquarium. When identified as Chrysiptera talboti, it’s an active, colorful species that’s commonly used in mixed setups where you want an energetic fish alongside corals. In practice, it helps add movement in the tank, but it may become territorial as it matures, so thoughtful aquascaping and tankmate planning matter for long-term harmony.
Features:
- Active, lively swimmer that adds constant motion to the display
- Generally considered reef safe with corals in typical community setups
- May become territorial as it matures, especially toward similar-looking fish
- Takes to established rockwork—provide plenty of rock for territory and retreat
- Often adjusts well with proper acclimation and a calm settling area
- Eats a variety of small prepared foods such as flakes, pellets, and frozen foods
