Purple Spark Acropora

About this coral

Purple Spark Acropora is an SPS coral from the genus Acropora, sold as a named aquarium coral. In reef aquariums, Acropora are used both for vivid SPS display and for building a high-energy, stable-coral section of the tank. As a general guideline for group-level care, Acropora perform best with intense lighting, strong/indirect turbulent flow, and consistently stable water chemistry, since rapid swings can stress or damage sensitive tissue.

Features:

• SPS coral growth is supported by strong lighting and consistent illumination throughout the day
• High, well-distributed water movement helps Acropora remove detritus and encourages healthy tissue
• Stable parameters matter: sudden changes in salinity, alkalinity, or pH can cause stress
• Best kept as part of an SPS reef system where water changes and monitoring are routine
• Placement in the correct light and flow zone is key—adjust gradually to avoid shock

Specifications:
